Website Bio (2004)

Teasing LuLu are here to kick some butt, with teen scream vocals and catchy choruses combined with attitude laden lyrics and energy packed live shows! Aged between 18-24 the girls have already supported The Damned and Eighties Matchbox Beeline Disaster as well as gigging regularly on their own. They played Punk Aid 2003 alongside legends such as the Dead Kennedys and The Groundhogs. Their first demo, recorded only a few months after they met (and produced by Captain Sensible), was played on DJ Colin Murray’s Radio One show, and won his ‘Famous For Fifteen Seconds’ listener vote as well as appearing on the One Music web site. The girls have also recorded Metway sessions at the Levellers studio which were played on Totally Wired Radio in Brighton and have had a track featured on the LUV magazine compilation CD.

They formed in November 2002 when Louisa answered an ad placed by Lucy in their local Brighton guitar shop. It was Louisa’s last ditch attempt to form a band as she was on the verge of going and getting a proper job (God forbid!). She met Lucy over soyachino’s in Borders coffee shop and the pair talked of playing Glastonbury within 15 minutes of their meeting. The ‘Teasing LuLu’ song was written in their very first rehearsal. Serena met Lucy through college and so impressed the girls with her energy and Dave Grohl-like drumming, that she was immediately asked to join the band.

Teasing LuLu are: Lucy Dalton (guitar and vox), Louisa Carr (bass and backing vox), Serena Bowden (drums)
